Welcome

Troop 186 was established in 1955 and for just over 60 years has provided a solid and reliable scouting program that reinforces Lord Robert Baden-Powell’s belief that “Scouting is a game with a purpose!”

Our troop is a scout led troop that follows the patrol method where scouts lead other scouts under the guidance of the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters. Troop 186 is fortunate to have many adults who volunteer with diverse backgrounds in engineering, technology, leadership, ethics, law enforcement, aviation, economics, bush craft, construction, hunting, and communications. Many of these adults continue on as mentors and merit badge counselors long after their own scout has moved on because of their passion for the program. We are a very active troop, and enjoy weekly meetings that focus on scout craft, and weekend activities like hiking, backpacking, boating, water skiing, snow skiing, snowboarding, climbing, orienteering, car camping, and shooting sports.

We meet nearly every Tuesday at 7:00 PM, if you’re ready for fun, we look forward to meeting you.
